Have a wonderful year!

L'Hitraot & Shanah Tovah!
Dear Friends of Ramah Nyack,

Last Tuesday and Wednesday marked Rosh Chodesh Elul, a time for thoughtful reflection on the year we are about to leave behind and tremendous vision for the one we will soon enter. As we listened to the wakening sounds of the shofar this morning on the migrash, I could not think of a more appropriate note on which to conclude our summer here at Machaneh Ramah. The stillness was captivating; we stood together in awe, memories of the summer dancing through our minds, the ancient sounds echoing across our beloved and now dusty lawn.

The transition from summer to fall, like all transitions, is bittersweet. Yet with the anticipation of the chagim comes the promise of a fresh new year, ripe with meaning, growth, and moments of celebration. Our staff and campers approach this new year more confident, more inspired, and more in tune with our beautiful Jewish heritage. Fitted with our precious summer memories, we are ready to tackle new challenges, peacefully knowing that we will all gather here next summer to rejoice as a community once again.

I wish all of you a year filled with sweetness and health.

Shanah tovah,

Amy Skopp Cooper, Director

Festivale Fun

The rain held off, and we danced joyfully together on our migrash at yesterday's Festivale in celebration of our kasum summer. Those family members whose schedules permitted them to attend had a real treat!

Many thanks go to veteran staff member Judy Kane, and her assistant, Leah Stern, who choreographed the dances and directed Festivale.

Morning Migrash Music
Every morning, campers have bakashot (requests) for their favorite migrash dance music. Many of these are difficult to find online, but we’ve provided you with links where possible.

Nitzanim's Festivale song, "Jungle," sung by Eyal Golan, was undoubtedly the most popular song of the summer.
